Long Winded Instructions

Finally! A cocktail dedicated to drinking on the beach! Isn’t that great?

What? Immature? Why would you say that? Well, obviously, “doin’ it” refers to drinking a cocktail. What did you think it meant?

What?! I’m shocked. This website of adult drinks would never do something blue like that. But, we forgive you for misjudging us.

What? A knock off? No, no... a “Sex On the Beach” is entirely different. It has peach, orange, and cranberry flavors and refers to a scandalous act. Our drink here is guava and lime and refers to the innocent act of getting inebriated on a beach. What you do after that is not on us.

Well I’m glad we got that out of the way. There was a lot of confusion there. Now we can concentrate on the beautiful, physical act of making this cocktail.

You’ll want to start slow. You might want to rush because you’re excited to get started, but just take a breath and try to stay in the moment. Pull out your ingredients and a stemless wine glass. I’ve found it’s always a good idea to measure your tequila right before so you can be confident in your ability to make a satisfying drink. Put that right in the glass. Now get out your guava juice.

Wait... why are you confused? Broke what metaphor? I’m not sure what you mean.

Anyways, you’ll want to measure your guava juice too to make sure it’s in balance with the tequila. These 2 beautiful flavors now come together in a single glass. It’s like a merging of two souls. Now we bring in a third soul: lime juice. It’s good to mix it up.

Well things are getting a bit too hot now, so we better add some crushed ice. Fill it right to the brim. Top it off with a little more guava juice if needed. Do whatever feels right in the moment. Add a lime wedge and some mint for garnish. The mint doesn’t really do much here, but it looks and smells very nice, which heightens the whole experience.

You’re almost done! Add a straw for easy sipping and head to the beach.

And that’s it! Was it good for you?
